You forgot one important thing. The opponent! No comparison.

I think LSU got a great matchup too...A&M dont stand a snowballs chance in hell of beating LSU.

The payout and level of competition are better for Capital One Bowl. Those are the two most important factors except for the fans actually attending who might want to go to Dallas rather than Orlando (which in January is a debatable topic).

There aren't many teams as hot as TAM right now.

I really don't care for our bowl or match up. I would trade with LSU in a heartbeat.

I think we got Michigan State because Saban use to coach there. It will actually helpy'all to go the cotton bowl because y'all recruit Texas.

Ignore jim...he has been whining like a bitch on the rant over the Cotton. Either way, aTm has connections to both LSU and Bama. Some of our more recent fans don't get this.

im sorry if you cant understand something as simple as we played in the game last year. the bowls outside of the bcs title game are about money. You have team A with 1 more win than team B. thing is team A was just at this bowl last year, had a miserable fricking time. Team B was not at this bowl and hasnt been in a while.

team b is the logical choice for making the most money. Teams and fans dont want to go to the same place twice in a row. it needs to be spread out. Its why the cotton cap1 bowl and outback are all pretty close to equals. they make money on good teams and having different teams in it.

i really dont understand why our fans are having such a difficult time about this.

One of the Rivals writers thinks LSU and Bama got the best bowls outside of the BCS.

Best and Worst Bowl Matchups

On a side note, the article ranks the Fiesta Bowl (Connecticut vs. Oklahoma) #21 out of 35 (the other 4 BCS bowls occupy the top spots). Yet, another reason why the Big East should lose the automatic qualifier.

us and bama both got good bowls. bama got a good match up.

we got a old rival, in a brand new awesome stadium on prime time that also happens to serve as a nice practice run for our opener. in short any LSU fan that is bitching about the cotton bowl is fricking retarded. the cap1 and cotton are pretty much equals.

jesus you would think going to disney world once was enough but our childish fricking fanbase wants to live there

not really from the LSU perspective. the game vs A&M is worth more. Its a showcase game in texas, its going to be our first of 2 in the coming year in a fertile recruiting ground that we thrive on. It is also vs a kinda threat for texas recruits so its a big game. also like i said its a practice run the team (most of them at least) will be playing in this palace next year. so this bowl lets us get the uhhss and ahhs of the new place out of the way. when we roll into big d next year it can be all business
