Please excuse my ignorance but if revenue is equally shared it seems that Vandy is sucking off the SEC money makers tit ie Bama, Florida, Kentucky....

Again excuse my ignorance I really do not fully understand the situation.

They keep up the facade of the "student athlete" so the NCAA don't shut down our semi-pro football league

Money is split between the schools in basketball? I thought this was only a bowl game thing.

Vandy isn't competitive in football, but they're at least decent in most everything else. They have great academics. They're a founding member of the conference.

I'd rather have Vandy than Carolina, FWIW.

Get rid of them and bring GT back, IMO.

You know that sport we play between the football season and spring practice. Kentucky is kind of good at that.

So, without Kentucky and Vandy...how would the SEC do in basketball revenue? (also throw UF and UT in the convo).

Blind squirrel gonna find a nut every now and then, they beat us in 2006 and 1994, so maybe I'll inch back from that.

I'm not understanding what you're saying here. My point wasn't that UK isn't a big dog in basketball. The OP was asking about revenue sharing and I thought that sharing between schools was only done for bowls. Thereby, my question about UK football being a big dog.

Because their endowment is 2.8 billion...

Seriously, I think that's triple what the closest SEC team has (UF @ 1 billion)
