If AU goes on to win the BCSNC, it wil be forever tarnished.

Does anyone not agree with this statement? No matter if the NCAA ever comes out with a positive or negative ruling on AU, the reds in Auburn, AL will still be looked down on by everyone in the country. They will have no respect from any of the national media besides the other reds in Auburn, AL. It will be like Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa. Sure, they broke amazing records, but no one gives their records any respect anymore. Nobody with half a brain believes that everything surrounding the recruitment of Cam Newton is 100% legit. I don't even believe there has been a single honest moment in his college career which is sad considering his dad is a preacher. No wonder his church was going under.

The barners will say they don't care, but just like 2007 LSU fans, they'll always question the legitimacy of their title...though for different reasons.

A real championship team doesn't lose to a mediocre Arkansas team and a bad UK team in the same season.
LSU fans are constantly having to defend this championship.

I really have never had that much respect for the Heisman trophy. I think it's a bunch of bullsh*t anyway. I would rather be honored for some of the position awards. They seem to take more football skill into account. NFL teams seem as if they are starting to realize this as well.

2007: LSU 38 Ohio State 24
What is there to defend? If you want to say USC deserved to be in the championship game. Then shouldn't Utah have been in the '08 NC. They did beat Alabama worse than Florida did.
