I live around a bunch of TCU alum and some very powerful boosters at that. Last night I overheard some discussing that they were pressing the TCU administration to file suit against the NCAA. I'm not sure how much of a case they would have, but this would be a federal case if tried I believe.

ETA: I believe they are discussing this in regards to the NCAA ruling Cam Newton eligible thus keeping Auburn in the BCSNC. If Newton was ruled ineligible, they believe that they would be in the BCSNC.

Why? Aren't they doing to a BCS bowl? What else do they want?

There's no way they deserve going to the BCSNCG over Oregon or Auburn.

Is it a playoff that they want?

Yea they'd win no doubt too. I hear this is already in the works and the supreme court just can't wait till it gets appealed to them...They're huge TCU supporters and as you know the government is hugely against monopolies and it is argued that the BCS violates anti-trust laws.

But seriously. No. They wouldn't have standing.

They would have no grounds, since there is not a precedent. Plus, the NCAA stated "based on current evidence" when they ruled him eligible.

College football needs to be kept on the football field and out of the courtroom. These legislators and lawyers for the mid-majors need to stop filing their petitions against the NCAA. It's getting ridiculous.
