4 of the other 5 were won before the AP poll even existed. I guess football didn't start until 1936, huh?

And 1941 is a crock anyway. As far as I am concerned we have 12.

Bama claims 13, but we only have a legit claim to 12 of those. 1961, 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978, 1979, 1992, & 2009 are all the Poll era Titles. 1925, 1926, 1930, & 1934 are are Rose Bowl teams. We have a legit claim to those 4. Just like every other team in the country that claims Titles from Rose Bowl years. The only one we DON'T have a claim to is 1941 and most Bama fans will tell you that. Don't try to bring Bama in to this when you don't know what you're talking about
