A question about Coach Shannon

What is his specialty. What particular position is he known for coaching?

He was the defensive coordinator for '01 Miami. Even when their program was deteriorating at a rapid rate under Coker, the U always fielded top defenses. Shannon is a good defensive coach. He would be a perfect fit for a place like Michigan so Rich Rod can concentrate solely on the offense and not have to worry about the defense.

Lets just say there are a few SEC teams that should look at him for defense.
