I've seen this reference to Sonic and Houston Nutt before...what is the whole story?

Houston and Danny are known to hang out at local sonics, flirting with the girls and recruiting. They take the team to Sonic the night after wins.

It comes from when Houston Nutt should have been studying opponent game film like Bobby Petrino, instead he was playing pick up basketball games and taking players to Sonic afterwards.
