i think lsu was more consistant over the decade then florida. and i would imagine a better wining record as well. Urban did not get there till 2005? we also won the sec title in 2001.

They were not good under zook.

after 2000 the sec belongs to lsu.

LSU: 99-31, 3 SEC Championships, 2 National Championships
Florida: 100-30, 3 SEC Championships, 2 National Championships

They're merely identical and are both the SEC teams of the decade IMO.

I am not saying your wrong. But according to the LSU facebook page

quote:

LSU's 100 victories over the past 10 years make the Tigers the winningest program in the SEC over that span, ahead of Florida (96 wins), Georgia (95), Auburn (90) and Alabama (85)

Florida had THREE 5 loss seasons in a row in the 2000's.

LSU fans everywhere pray at the Zook Memorial Church

I would give the edge to Florida in the 2000's debate because both of LSU's titles (while legitimate) are questioned by some......2003 was split with USC and 2007 was a 2 loss team. Also both were won in New Orleans.

Both are very worthy, but UF gets the edge.

Funny how the bam bams tend to mention Auburn in nearly every post, yet Auburn is the little brother with the obsession.

Could be. I used wikipedia, and it's too damn early to be thinking logically.

I am in no way certain either, just had remembered reading that today and figured I would at least post it on here for someone who has THE WANT to look it up and verify it.

When you're drunk you get on TD at 2 in the morning to rank teams of the decade? That's fricking stupid.

I knew that was coming, and by the way I do not claim 13 titles.

LSU's titles are legit, but if you are dealing with a coin flip situation between Florida and LSU, Florida gets the edge in my book because both of their titles are undisputed.

Also, Florida was 6-4 against LSU head to head in the 2000's decade. Florida wins by a hair.

LSU's NC's are legit, but not undisputed? That's really weak reasoning.

I am saying that I think they are legitimate and that LSU was the best team in the nation in both 2003 and 2007. However, many others feel USC was the better team in 2003, including the majority of AP voters and the 2007 team is probably the luckiest to win a title in modern college football.

I'm not trying to bash LSU's titles in any way....just nitpicking to find a way to break the tie between LSU and UF for team of the decade.
