On a Friday night, no less?

I can't even make out their campus in downtown Atlanta.

Done in 2008. Had an open date. They asked.

1. Bill Curry
2. Open date
3. We needed to play somebody
4. Easy game before the biggest game every season
5. Moved it ahead to give the team more time to prepare.

They asked and I doubt we would have said no to Bill Curry.

Well Alabama fans would say we did Bill Curry a favor, while everyone else knows we just weren't man enough to schedule Chattanooga.

The game's tonight btw, not Friday.

Did Georgia State even have a football team when they scheduled this?

No. Their AD is Nostradamus.

I can't believe they'd do it because of the computer implications of playing a team that bad.

As a favor to Bill Curry so they will have money to buy pads and helmets next year.

Did you know they are disbanding after 2011. 2012 is going to be awful.

Yes but this is their first year of playing. They practiced all last year. 2 good things should come of this game: 1) Bill Curry gets alot of money to get his program going in the right direction and 2) Noone gets hurt hopefully.

Our starters shouldn't play but half of the 1st quarter.

Seriously though. The REC knew in 2007 how the timeline would play out in their conspiracy with Cam this year. Knowing that, they felt they could get a patsy for this Thursday night's game, so that it wouldn't detract from the bloodletting that Auburn would be receiving this week. That's the main reason.

Obviously it wouldn't have mattered. If Alabama was undefeated, their SOS would still be far better than Boise, TCU, etc...

Georgia State can't even drag the strength of an SEC regular season down, even when it seems to be as low as it is this year.
