I got this from another board. I am wondering if this is true or not. If not entirely true, what parts are fabricated?

Interesting timeline. Definitely shows a pattern of behavior that would be conducive to committing major NCAA Infractions.

December 2007 - Auburn sees the major gains being made by Alabama and Saban on the recruiting front. Will Muschamp bolts for Texas after having a major dispute with the Auburn Athletic Dept. Tuberville is pressured to make some changes by the AU Brass. Dye and Co. force Tubby to hire Tony Franklin. The feeling is that a prolific offense can make up the ground being lost to Alabama on the recruiting trail and on the field.

February 2008 - Auburn gets clocked in recruiting and the Tigers go 0-fer on National Signing Day. The Tigers were not even considered by in-state recruit Julio Jones.5 Star ATH BJ Scott is asked to leave Auburn during his official visit.

Summer 2008 - Franklin and Tuberville are barely even on speaking terms. They go at least three months without talking. Multiple fights break out in camp between Auburn players.

September 2008 - Even though they are preseason Top 10 and the favorite to win the SEC West, Auburn's offense shows no improvement from the year before and actually regresses as the season goes on. Tension on the staff begins to rise. Meanwhile, Saban has Alabama undefeated and in the Top 10.

October 2008 - Auburn loses to Vandy. Franklin is fired. While he is cleaning ou this office, Bryan Matthews gets a tip to come over and film him loading up his car.

November 2008 - Alabama is on the verge of winning the SEC Title. The Tide shutouts Auburn 36-0 and beats the Tigers for the first time in 6 years. The Tigers finish 5-8. The Tide is also on the verge on another top recruiting class.

December 2010 - After days of negotiations, Tuberville is fired. Jay Jacobs makes the statement that Tuberville decided to leave and that as a good gesture, the University would pay him the multi-million dollar buyout anyway. Tuberville's mother states that he was fired. Ensmingers' wife calls into SportsCall and says that they were fired because they weren't willing to cheat like they do at Alabama.

- After getting turned down by Will Muschamp and other brand name coaches, Auburn hires Gene Chizik over Turner Gill. Chizik is on the verge of being fired by Iowa State and bring zero of his staff from Iowa State with him to Auburn. The national media comes down hard on AU for the hire and accuses the school of racism after hiring a lesser qualified white coach. Pat Dye goes on Finebaum and accuses Nick Saban & Jimmy Sexton of being behind the media firestorm. Just like they did with Franklin, AU hires Gus Malzahn in hopes that his prolific offense can be duplicated at Auburn. Trooper Taylor, who was involved in the diploma mill scandal at Tennessee, is brought into the staff from Oklahoma State. Rumors cirulate that Dye is behind the hiring of most of the staff. James Willis is fired by Chizik then rehired. Willis is then hired away by Saban.

February 2009 - Auburn signs Rivals 100 QB Tyrik Rollison despite coming in very late in the game in his recruitment. The Tigers also surprise most analysts by signing 4 star WR DeAngelo Benton on Signing Day. Alabama lands its second straight #1 recruiting class.

April 2009 - Auburn coaches embark on "Tiger Prowl" and ride in a limo to multiple high schools across the state.

Summer 2009 - Several top prospects make unofficial visits to Auburn for Big Cat Weekend. Despite being unable to afford a trip to visit homestate school Texas, Lache Seastrunk is able to afford a plane ticket to Auburn for the weekend. AuburnSports.com encourages its subscribers to be at Toomer's Corner at 8pm sharp for a unscheduled event. Fans/Student show up to greet recruits and Trooper Taylor announces each recruit to the crowd. Tom Luginbill just happens to be invited to town the same weekend as these recruits take their unofficial trips. After this weekend, the top 3 RB recruits in that naiton name Auburn their leader. Auburn would go on to receive secondary violations for this weekend. The NCAA limits the recruiting of Trooper and AU stops recruiting Seastrunk. Rumors of Alabama paying Gadsden players begin to surface on Auburn message boards. Crimson Tide football players and families from Gadsden are followed by private investigators hred by Auburn boosters. Multiple sources indicate that boosters from Auburn are behind the Mark Ingram/Julio Jones boat trip incident. Chris Todd is named the starting QB over Kodi Burns. Burns makes an impromptu speech to the team and urges unity. The speech is conveniently videoed for fans. Eric Smith is arrested for assault.

2009 Season - Auburn's offense improves. The Tigers start out 5-0 before finishing 3-5. Coming off of a close game to Alabama, the Tigers get a bid to play in the Outback Bowl despite having the same record as UGA, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Rumors spread that AU promised to buy all remaining tickets to the game. The Tigers edge out Northwestern in OT. Tyrique Rollison is suspended and eventually leaves the team. Auburn then starts recruiting Cameron Newton. Soon thereafter, Newton commits to Auburn over Miss. State and enrolls early.

February 2010 - Auburn signs the #4 class on Rivals. Bryan Matthews leaves AuburnSports.com

April 2010 - Newton is named starting QB. Tiger Prowl 2 begins. One week later, the NCAA passes a rule prohibiting coaches from engaging in "Tiger Prowl"-like activities. Cecil Newton's church suddenly finds the funds to bring the sanctuary up code.

August 2010 - AuburnSports.com writer Rachel Morand releases a series of articles about players professing the uniqueness of Auburn's Family Atmosphere.

September 2010 - Auburn beats Arkansas State and Mississippi State to go 2-0. Despite several more attractive games, ESPN Gameday goes to the Auburn-Clemson game. Chizik asks the students to go "All In for the Auburn Family." The night before the game, a Columbus, Ga. TV reporter, who is a recent Auburn grad, publishes a story where Herbstreit and Fowler go on about how great of a family atmosphere there is at Auburn. Rumor begins to circulate that the article was fabricated and ESPN is not happy about it. Chizik is the only coach this season to not be interviewed on Gameday and only one story about the Auburn-Clemson game is broadcast. There is also no celebrity picker. At the Clemson game, there are hundreds of "Auburn Family - All In" signs distributed to the crowd.

October/November 2010 - Auburn goes undefeated and Newton is the leading Heisman contender

Wow... peculiar events happening at Auburn. That timeline needs Tony Franklin's quotes about the inner-workings of Auburn

so Auburn cleaned house and signed Newton basically....

Malzahn and Newton = Auburns success

That doesnt mean there is a suspect pattern of behavior, Tony Franklin is terrible and Chiz was their last resort.

They went after other guys, to say Chiz was brought in because he would turn a blind eye is a major stretch; he wasnt their 1st choice.
