Is Auburn an Elite Program?

They're undefeated and have the leading candidate for the Heisman but the national media seems "lukewarm" on them. Before Camgate, they got all most no press outside of the South. I can't help but wonder if their perception as a second tier SEC team is a factor in their placement in the human polls.

I pretty much agree with you, although I'm not sure about Michigan, and I think FSU might just be an elite program that's temporarily struggling.

Just curious, 2 BCS national championships in the last 7 years? But LSU is not and elite program?

Alabama
Michigan
Nebraska
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Oklahoma
Penn State
Texas
USC

That's it boys. Everybody else is at least one step down.
