We have seen the rule (if anyone in your corner asks for money you are immediately ineligible)
Barnhart reports from a reliable source that Cecil admits to asking for money
Yet it looks like Cam will play?
AU folks, explain this to me without flaming please. In your opinion is the Cecil admission just not true or what?

this makes no sense to me either...everything i have heard to date says once they know that the dad was trying to get money that makes cam not eligible at that point...it does not matter is auburn has anything to do with it or if cam knew about it...

actually, we found the NCAA bylaw for misconduct that states IF the player had knowledge, he would be ineligible. its in another thread on here. In fact, it just happens to be the link in the next post below!
Thats were the purported tapes come in (if the story is true) where Cam says the money was too much.

I agree - don't understand how he's not ineligible. UNLESS, that isn't the rule or the correct interpretation of the rule. If the Reverend admitted it and it was a violation, then this case is closed. But since it isn't closed, I guess that isn't the rule.
