Big difference between the investigative arm of ESPN running with this story on Newton. If they ran with this then they have it. And if they have the goods then the NCAA soon will.

Hard to see how Cam even plays this week. It's Tuesday...pressure will be enormous.

Yeah, ESPN is taking too much criticism this week over this story. If they didn't have solid stuff, they wouldn't continue running with it.

I really think ESPN has a lot of shite, they're just stringing it all out for ratings...new story every day.

ESPN ran with Bond outing Rogers when Bond never actually named Rogers.

Joe Schad's career would be OVER if this all turned out to be BS

i find it highly unlikely he would run with this if he wasnt 10000000% solid

If they don't have anything, this is really going to hurt their credibility.

It'll be interesting to see how cecil responds, being the holy man that he is... I believe it's only a matter of time before the truth comes out, the Feds have got to be making the newtons pretty damn nervous.

OK, on one hand you have the entire investigative staff and journalistic integrity of ESPN

vs.

a kid who stole a laptop, tossed it out the window when the cops arrive. Wrote his name on a paper another kid had already turned in, then with his prof watching him, bought a paper off the Interwebs to turn in.... And his dad who allowed a church to fall into such disrepair that it scheduled to be demolished

hmmmmmm. tough one

They better be. Cameron won't have to play pro ball if ESPN is found libel. Just sayin.

Cam plays this weekend.

(But don't think that Chizik isn't looking into moving the game up to Friday... just in case.)

He'd like to sue ESPN, but FOX has more money... sorry ESPN.

ESPN would not report it if it did not have legs. Joe Schad is usually a solid reporter.
