I know the cocktail party and Jacksonville is tradition and all, but I'm curious to know if you guys would rather have this game played on your respective campuses.

Just wondering b/c I've never personally been much of a fan of neutral site games. I think the atmospheres on campus are generally better. Really enjoying the game today though. very entertaining

NO, the Gators love playing in Florida every year.

I think it has something to do with the total DERPtitude that occurs when a UGA football team crosses into Duval County. Good teams fall apart. Bad teams get worse. I am still wondering what kind of deal Dooley made.

I'm sure UGA would rather play somewhere else.

Anyone know the score the last time UGA and UF played in Athens?

It was bad, not sure UGA wants to relive that every year. They're better off being UF's bitches in close games.

UGA was usually getting blown out in Jacksonville in the 90s as well. It wasn't a locale kind of thing. just a mediocre team kind of a thing. However, that has let to a total mental block on the part of this team. At this point, I think the only thing UGA can do to eradicate the problem is get rid of the "specialness" of the game.

I personally want it to stay in Jacksonville forever. It's just a classic venue for this game and the golden isles of GA are filled with UGA fans all week prior. It's just a different, cool brand of football that I actually do enjoy watching (when we're not getting skull drug, that is). The venue isn't the problem, it's UGA's mentality going into it. If we do get rid of RIcht, I want a guy thats going to come in and prioritize beating Florida, just like Spurrier prioritized beating UGA (partly because of his own personal hate for UGA, but also because he knew from the beginning that the road to Atlanta ran through Jacksonville). Ever since Spurrier started to lay down the law, so to speak, UGA has been backpedaling trying to find a way to respond since. It's all attitude (and maybe a little bit of our having pitifully sized DB's, but thats neither here nor there). But, until next year, here's to you you lizzard bastards I can't fault you with knowing how to pull out the win

The game should stay in Jax. The pups will get it turned around at some point.

You can't mess with tradition. GA had it's great runs in Jax (80s). You just have to play the game, it has nothing to do with the place.

Part of our problem, I think, is that the players get hit with this "18 out of 21" thing like it's some ridiculous feat they have to match the Gators on in order to restore balance, when really all we need to do is go out and start winning maybe one or two games in a row consistently and turn the series into a UGA-Auburn type deal. On paper, neither of these programs should flat out dominate one another like UF is doing. The dawgs just need to stop trying to play that game and just start playing it year-to-year

Helen doesn't have what it takes to beat Urban. Sorry, but he isn't mentally strong to get out of the Gator funk.
I agree they have to take the game one at a time, but Helen has to stop with the gimmicks, and just instill discipline.

I have to say, you guys cut down on the penalties this year, and you didn't wilt under the pressure. That is a step in the right direction.

I chock this year's loss up to the same thing that screwed us against all of our losses this year: this year's team cannot under any circumstances win close games. Certainly a step from the otherwise annual "Duval County pants shitting festival" but still in the same realm

You were against US, who lost 2 games in the last minute of those games. We lost a game in a stupid fake punt- that everyone in the stadium knew it was coming (LSU). The MSU game? I don't even want to think about that one again.

It was a battle of the crippled, for sure. I'm glad Will Hill redeemed himself, because he has been so disappointing this year.

Ahmad Black is our best player. Thank goodness for him back there, otherwise, Green would have shredded us. Janoris came a close second.

I am still in disbelief. Bobo for once did not call a bad game. A bit thudding, but he did not call a bad game.

Did Murray have to sign a "I shall not beat an instate university" before leaving for Georgia? Plus an "I shall not look for AJ Green" clause for good measure?

Damn. Just damn.

How do you like dem motza ballz?

Don't blame Murray. Blame the Gators. I think our players wanted it a little more after our 3 game losing streak. Our defense got it done. I couldn't believe Deonte making that catch. Our players played their hearts out to come out with the win.
And don't forget Chas Henry, pinning GA at the 5 with a minute left, and then kicking the FG.
