ESPN has said this over and over. Each SEC team has its flaws. They are correct, there are no perfect teams in the SEC, but this is what is being overlooked: The SEC is still the best and it isn't close!!!! Every year, 5-7 SEC teams finish in the top 10 of recruiting. I think their are 7 in the top 11 or 12 so far this year. The depth of talent in the SEC is light years ahead of every other conference.

While, the SEC will probably not have an undefeated team this year, it is still loaded at the top, and has teams in the middle that can beat the STUDS of the Big 12, Big 10, Pac 10, etc. If Miss St, Arkansas, or South Carolina were in the Big East or ACC, they might be the best team in those conferences. The SEC is 8 strong teams deep this year with 5 from the west and 3 in the east (South Carolina, Kentucky, and Florida). Florida beat Kentucky bad but is on a slide. Kentucky lost to Florida, but gave Auburn all they wanted and South Carolina more than they wanted. Georgia is turning their season around and will upset a few teams later in the year. Even Ole Miss seems to be gaining some steam and playing better.

There are no NFC teams undefeated this year, does that mean the NFC is down. No, it means it is loaded with Talent and you have to play your A game every week or you lose. The SEC is the closest thing to NFL football. If you don't play your best every week in the SEC, you will lose.

The SEC still sends 8-9 to bowls this year and will win 6-7 of those bowls. Our 5th seed will play the Big 10's second or third seed.

Just my thoughts.

ESPN is right because there are no great teams in CFB this year which means there aren't any great teams in the SEC as well. There isn't a juggernaut or even a team that's solid in all three phases of the ball like last year's Alabama team was. It's just a really down year without some of the really dominant teams of the past such as USC, Florida, Texas having really down years for their standards. Nobody has stepped us to take their place.

No great teams, but we'll keep on reeling in the NCs. Here's to our 5th in a row!
