From the post-game presser.....

quote:

"I was proud of the way our players fought back at the end of the game," Saban added. "That shows a lot of character, but everybody has a lot to learn from this experience."

quote:

"I probably didn't make a very good call on the fake," Saban said

quote:

You have to give a lot of credit to South Carolina

Also I don't have a copy and past here but he most definitely took blame for the loss in the post game presser by saying that he didn't have the team prepared to play.

In sundays paper, he took the blame. Some players were quoted saying they (players) were to blame.

Bottom line is that Bama was out coached and outplayed the entire game....So it is everyones fault. They will be back on a roll in no time..

Nah the bottom line is that there are some Rantards on here still pissed they have Les Miles as their coach and not Nick Saban so they want to start threads made up of lies.

And, of course, there are a few Barners that want to piggyback off of that.

I agree. The saban-"under the bus" critique is lazy and inaccurate.
Now lets hope you Gumps have the same passion for TRUTH when it concerns Les Miles.

The Paul Finebaum/Gump Narrative concerning LSU.
It's not even vaguely accurate.

Nah, I meant what's the truth on Les Miles? I know what I and most of the country think. And I know what most of the LSU fanbase thought before 1030 last Saturday night.

Look, I don't want to go all negative on Bama/Saban because it would be REALLY stupid to do so.
I respect Bama and Saban.
But you are crying crocodile tears bro.
So I know you don't like hackish comments about Saban.
But you champion hackish comments about Miles.
It just seems like you might want to give Les (57-15 , BCS crystal, recruiting top tier talent, good academics, clean program, no arrests, great CEO of program, etc. six years in to his LSU gig) some credit instead of perpetuating the Cartoonish Finebaum Narrative:

quote:

You get the feeling that everytime LSU wins a game it's in spite of Miles and his staff.
Watching Urban shake his hand was priceless. He had the look on his face like "I can't believe this guy beat me.....again."
LSU still has the three best teams in the West left on the schedule. Plenty of time for another classic meltdown.

Face it, your butt hurts since South Carolina smacked Bama in the face and stole their lunch money. So you are being ultra-defensive and lashing out. Very simple.

We lost but there is a lot of football left to be played. I think I would have rather played Alabama before the loss than hae to play them now. ThisBAMA team will not lay down like the team did in 2007. It will be hard to beat this team from this point forward in my opinion.

Not me. I think it's always better to have game film on how to beat a good team rather than just going in and trying something to see if it works.

36 yards rushing on 29 attempts?

Bama better hope for better than that in Tiger Stadium, or it'll be a long night.

Misleading stat.

Att Yds YPC
M. Ingram 11 41 3.7
T. Richardson 6 23 3.8
G. McElroy 12 -28 -2.3

The HB's were decent but it's not like they were not functional. Our ground game is fine. They just got no carries. Even our o-line played fine. GMAC looked like Jay Cutler against the Giants out there hanging on to the ball and taking sacks like he didn't give a frick. GMac likes his passer rating more than wins this year.
