Whether it's 2011 or 2012, this is my HC wish list for LSU (in order of preference):

1. Chris Peterson, Boise St. HC
2. Jack Del Rio, Jacksonville HC
3. Gary Patterson, TCU HC
4. Jon Gruden, former TB HC
5. Will Muschamp, Texas DC
6. Tommy Tuberville, Texas Tech HC
7. Kevin Sumlin, Houston HC
8. John Chavis, LSU DC (why not?)

Best of luck to Coach Miles!

Feel free to hire Petersen. You aren't getting Gruden, but I assume you knew that.

I hope you are not on the search committee. I will pass on your top 3 everyday of the week.

2. Jack Del Rio, Jacksonville HC

Most overrated coach in sports

3. Gary Patterson, TCU HC

Stud! Tied with Harbaugh for the top spot on my list

4. Jon Gruden, former TB HC

Not a chance he'd come here

5. Will Muschamp, Texas DC

Meh, yelling doesn't make you an elite head coach. Not a fan of taking a coordinator with no head coaching experience

Gary Patterson
Jim Harbaugh
Will Muschamp

any list that includes Del Rio and Tuberville loses all credibility.

I think his future plans include the NFL.

Passing on Patterson would be an epic failure on your part.

He would leave us high and dry for the NFL in a heart beat.

I like Chris Peterson, but if the rumor of him being a Scientologist is true, then that might make a few recruits question him.

I would throw in a vote for 2 other Pac-10 coaches.

1. Chip Kelly - Oregon
2. Mike Riley - Oregon St.

Harbaugh and Gruden are about the only two guys I could see being available and would also take the job. I know people don't think Gruden would coach at the college level, but he is the kind of guy that wants total control. Something that most NFL teams don't offer any more.

Any of us would be better than Miles, and we would demand less money. Literally any hire would be an improvement.
