How do you feel about the mega fricking huge biker rally this weekend? I've found that most people either love it or hate it. I love it, but I have friends that leave Fayetteville every year for the whole week.
I think the record is 300,000 bikes, back in 07 maybe? With the perfect weather this week, I think we break the record this year.

It should be the best year yet. I don't know why people wouldn't wanna be in town for it.

The hippies don't seem to like it at all. I have some teachers that cancelled class the next few days because they're getting out of town.

You would think that they'd like it since it brings in tons of money into the city, especially downtown Fayetteville (local businesses).
Back to the topic...I enjoy it. The noise can be annoying, though. Howevever, I do enjoy seeing the bible-thumping protesters it brings to Dickson

It creates a huge mess to clean up, sometimes property damage.

I love Bikes, Blues, and BBQ and the atmosphere that it brings to Dickson Street!! I love being able to see all the different bikes and the noise is great. Has a hospitality student at the UofA we get to work certain events during the rally. I will be working the VIP Suite at Hawg House on Thursday and I can't wait!!

When I lived there I had fun on Dickson so I won't say I hated it by any means but I lived on N Leverett so I could never get away from it, constant incredibly loud motorcycles going up and down the hill in front of my apartment day and night. So I was always ready for it to be over after a couple of days.

I don't enjoy it. Its loud and annoying.
But I don't outright hate it. I might if I lived downtown.

In my college sociology class last year we were required to go to Bikes Blues and BBQ and write up a paragraph about the difference between old school bikers and bikers today. If we did this it got us out of our final.
I think it's pretty fun. I'll have to try it out next year when I'm 21.

Did you have Marcella Thompson? I remember she used to make fun of rich people that bring their bikes on a trailer.

South Park had it right, the groups that do a rally like this are worthless as motorcycle riders. They are even worse than gixxer squids that can only go straight and panic brake when presented by any sort of curve.
