During fall camp there was a lot of hype by Auburn fans surrounding Reed. There were couple of threads started by Auburn fans talking shite because he left Louisiana and they claimed he is another Harvin type player and the best player, by far, out of Louisiana last year...

In response, I posted this Post Season Louisiana ranking done by Tigerbait which is the Rivals board for LSU...

Rank Name Pos Location Stars Ht Wt School

#1 Tyrann Mathieu DB New Orleans, LA
St. Augustine 4 stars 5'10" 175 LSU

#2 Tharold Simon ATH Eunice, LA
Eunice 4 stars 6'4" 185 LSU

#3 Alfred Blue RB Boutte, LA
Hahnville 3 stars 6'2" 203 LSU

#4 Eric Reid DB Geismar, LA
Dutchtown 4 stars 6'2" 210 LSU

#5 Jordan Allen DE West Monroe, LA
West Monroe 4 stars 6'6" 266 LSU

#6 Jarrett Fobbs ATH Shreveport, LA
Huntington 4 stars 5'11" 180 LSU

#7 James Wright WR Belle Chasse, LA
Belle Chasse 4 stars 6'2" 180 LSU

#8 Trovon Reed ATH Thibodaux, LA
Thibodaux 4 stars 6'0" 173 Auburn

#9 Nick Jacobs TE Many, LA
Many 3 stars 6'5" 245 LSU

#10 Ronnie Vinson ATH New Orleans, LA
Isidore Newman School 4 stars 5'11" 186 LSU

Rankings 2010

Most Auburn fans dismissed this ranking as BS but after the first two games, this list looks more credible than any other.

Mathieu is playing a ton at CB.
Reid has played in both games at FS.
Blue is in the rotation at RB and scored a TD.(could be #2 RB)
Wright has played in both games at WR.
Simon has played in both games at DB.

Benton went to Auburn as a high 4* WR out of Louisiana and has never been heard from again. I'm just wondering if Reed will actually play or if all the preseason talk was just hype.

I know he was hurt but they said on the radio in LA that he practiced last week and I did not see him play.

Chizik is hopeful he will play this week. Malzahn has plays drawn up specifically for him, when Malzahn says the kid is a gamechanger I believe it.

Uhm, alright. It's just practice. Mark Ingram practiced last Thursday and he didn't play.

When Trovon hits the field you will know it.

How many times does this have to be posted?

He's hurt. There's not much more to it.
