The Big Ten is talking about doing 9 conference games. The Pac-10 has been playing 9. I'm sure if they will continue playing 9 when they go to 12.
Would you want to see the SEC go to a 9 game conference schedule?
If teams keep 2 interesting OOC games like UNC and West Virginia, Penn St and Duke, USF and FSU, and Wake Forest and UConn with 2 cupcakes I'm ok with that.
But if teams are scheduling one decent BCS team and 3 nonBCS cupcake teams I would rather see a 9 game conference.
I'm not flaming on any teams. From would I've seen all SEC teams have been on the solid schedule side and cupcake side at some point.

16 team conference; two divisions
7 conference games + 3 OOC games; championship game
8-team playoff

I agree here - plus when we actually have teams that make the NC and win (no matter the SEC school) - then the panty wastes in the other lesser conferences can't say crap - cause our guys played int he best and toughest - for 11 conference games and still made it.
course it will probly never happen, but what a dream :)
