SEC wise, I'd go with Brodie Croyle. He had bad luck, but he never met the expectation that were set for him when he signed with Alabama.

Disagree. Two blocked field goals in a close game that saved Alabama's perfect season.

Definitely not Croyle, he was a pretty solid QB. It's not his fault he had such high expectations. This thread should be reservd for high level 4 and 5 star guys who did absolutely nothing. Keeping this SEC related, Demetrius Summers is one that instantly comes to mind. I would say Emmanual Moody but hell he can't even get a starting job.

And it isn't close.

Jevan Snead was before last season.

Croyle with Tyrone Prothro was an All American. Without Tyrone Prothro, he was a mid level SEC QB.

When I read some Bama forums I'm amazed when so many say Brodie Croyle was a good QB. He had a strong arm and that was it. He wasn't accurate and he couldn't take a hit. Some of the hits JPW took would have killed Brodie.

WTF? He won SEC POY! He won the SEC in his only year starting and broke school records. Sheesh.

He won an SEC Championship. How is that overrated? Because he sat on the bench for 4 years behind what was then the College QB with the most wins in his career?

That's pretty much Croyle, whether it be because of injuries or the inability to throw a checkdown...

Okay I'm confused. I thought he won seven games his only year, but he played in that loss to WVU. Never mind
