Bama wasnt coming off a bye week before that game. It was an obvious advantage for them.

i guess you are implying that you are pissed that Bama is working to get the disadvantage they have compared to others resolved?

maybe you're implying that there is no disadvantage at all?

Over the past few years we have had many more opponents with bye weeks before playing us. I think it's 17 over the past 3 years or something and the next closest is Florida with 6 or so. Don't complain.

I'm certain that part of the reason we schedule a bye week before the LSU game is out of respect for a strong program. LSU will be one of the toughest games of the season for the foreseeable future. We know it, and our administration plans accordingly.

Take it as a compliment.

We could have won if we had switched coaches.

You guys have been complaining about having six this upcoming season, yet you average just under 6 over the past 3? I think simple logic should have told you that's a little fishy.

If JJ and Scott would not have gotten hurt. Oh PP having cramps the whole game because of the flu did not help either.

Cant wait for next year's game, going to be another battle.

From 2007-2010 Bama will have had 16 conference games where the opponent is coming off a bye week. Six of those coming this year 2010.

If I'm not mistaken, our administration addressed this with the SEC last summer. Maybe they should have addressed the issue 2 yrs ago? It's not like they just realized this spring that there was a problem......

Am I the only one who sees the irony in this statement? LSU could VERY easily have a SEVEN game win streak over Auburn right now if AU hadn't gotten a second attempt on a sketchy PAT call in 2004 and a ridiculously "generous" no-call on pass interference in 2006. LSU being cheated in Auburn has been the rule lately, not the exception.

I don't think it's going to matter because i fully expect bama to be an amazing team this year, but there certainly seems be be the ground work being laid for using the bye week thing as an excuse if bama loses. (excuse is a bit harsh of a word, but rational explanations of events around here are deemed excuses so too shall this be).
