What kind of job could Richt find if he got fired? Would a big name school take him?

Perfectly fine. Rich Rod gets canned, Les goes to Michigan and Nick comes back home.

Everyone will be happy. Except for the Gumps, but their ire will only heighten everyone else's happiness.

TIA for taking one for everyone else, Gumps.

Home?

Nick is home.

Especially since Coach Saban is, and has been taking the recruits he wants from the state.

even in this Hope and Change era there are limits on what one should hope for. Dreams can be a dangerous thing.

There are plenty of coaches out there that would be better than miles and probably just as good as saban in the long run. We just have to find the right guy(like meyer at UF).

I do hate meyer btw

shite, guy prally has more money than God. If he gets canned he should go be the OC for Jimbo in Tallahassee.

I've always been a big Noles fan and he had some special years there. Their offense hasn't been the same since he left. The folks in Tallahassee still love the guy. Just a thought.

FWIW though I think UGA is gonna be one of the surprises of the SEC.

This is what is wrong with LSU fans.

listen up, this is very important and there is going to be a test at the end.

NICK SABAN IS GONE.

He was a great coach at LSU but he moved on and he is not coming back.

He has a better gig because he doesn't have to put up with Psychos who used to question and criticize his every move and now burn him in effigy while obsessing over him.

It is just a bit pathetic.

Now for the test - who will not be the head coach at LSU ever again?

That's right, Nick Saban.

Sir, you are quite right. Miles to Michigan? Certainly isn't going to get Satan back to the Bayou.

By the way, a bit of auto analysis is due here? Would L$U fans really want him back? No questions asked? Please.

You are recruiting quite well, don't know how Miles will pan out mid-term in his game coaching prowess, but your program shouldn't be one of concern. The raw material is there.

Miles may not be the one to get you back to the Big Dance though.

My two cents (from a SEC brother whose coach also doesn't seem to have Big Dance capabilities either).

All the best to ya.

Obviously, you don't know the Alabama faithful. LSU's football fanbase isn't nearly as "psychotic" as Alabama's.

And how did you reach this conclusion? Is it from posters on tidesports or bamaonline?

FYI, we have never burned an ex-coach in effigy.

Every fanbase has its idiots but you can't say with certainty that one is worse than the other.

I was responding to Southern man who basically said Saban didn't have to deal with people questioning his every move in Alabama compared to when he was here at LSU. Is he really that naive? And I didn't think it was even debatable that Alabama has the most "psychotic" fanbase in the SEC.

Of course Saban has to answer alot of stupid questions but so does any coach who is at a top notch university. I'm not denying the fact that we have some crazy fans but you are acting as though it's common knowledge that we're crazier than LSU. Like I said, we've never burned an ex-coach in effigy so until that happens, LSU will always have a crazier fan base.

Too many people put too much stock in message boards.

Certainly, we have a crazy fanbase that likes to party. But we don't put 90,000 in the stadium to watch practice nor do we show up at the airport by the 1000s to welcome a head coach either.

I call that loyalty and passionate about the sport we love. That's one of the things Coach Saban loves about Tuscaloosa.

That's why Alabama is the absolute perfect job for Saban. He gets his arse kissed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. How many other teams fanbases hold that much devotion to their HC? Are there any other places that build statues for championship winning coaches? Any coach with a healthy ego would absolutely love it at Alabama.

True. It's borderline creepy though.
