During the leanest years in Alabama's storied history we still make #1, #2, and #3 on this list of the SEC's Moments of the Decade. Not to mention 4 of the total 10. Sounds about right:

Really. Bama's 2009 title #1? I think Florida's romp over Ohio State for the 2006 title is where the SEC earned its reputation and started getting the nod. That was much more impressive than Alabama's victory.

#1 should probably be florida upsetting (curb stomping really) ohio state in the 06 NC game... you couldn't design a better single game to make the SEC look strong and the Big 10 look weak by comparison

and it started a four year run of SEC NCs

WTF type of "moments" were those?

I usually like Lowe, but this list is embarrassing.

Only 2 teams gave a shite when Saban came back. The rest of us were like "well, ok"

The whole list pretty much revolved around those two teams. Hmmmm

Should we expect Bama to crank out a Top 10 t-shirt?

As a LSU fan if I had to pick a moment of the decade the bluegrass miracle would fall way behind:

the NC games,
the 2001 sec championship game (announced LSU as a real SEC team this decade IMO),
the 2003 uga at lsu game (announced lsu was real that year)
teh 2003 sec ccg - impressively handled an excellent uga team
the lsu at arizona state game (esp meaningful because of katrina and extremely dramatic finish)
the blowouts of miami or notre dame
the regular season 2007 lsu/florida game

Ingram's Heisman speech should have trumped the Bluegrass Miracle.

maybe not the play so much as the guy in the cow suit dancing around and then getting hit

maybe that's top ten in entertainment value.... not significance

4-9

I think you're talking about 2000. We were 3-8 that year, and Auburn beat us by a score of 9-0.

ETA: Maybe you were talking about 2003, when we did go 4-9 and Auburn beat us 28-23.
