On the deciding factor for leaving Alabama
"It was very hard to leave that place. It truly was, because I had a great time there. Everybody talks about the bowl game and victory, but to me it wasn't so much the victory and getting to the championship. It was the process and the road getting there. I think my time with Coach Saban and what I learned was, of course, the formula. I will try to do the same thing here and run the same type of program and the same attitude.

On how much the 2009 season helped prepare him for this position
"Tremendously. One thing Coach Saban always preached was it's not always about the results, it's about the process. If we can stay focused on doing the right things and focus on the technique, the fundamentals and being a student of the game, those things really pay off in the end. Once our kids buy into that and believe in it, we'll be good."

Won't take long for Tubs to unlearn him of all that 'process' crap and get him back to what's REALLY important:

One of you Gumps should file a trademark application on "the process" for Saban.

Honestly? I didn't like that move. You can believe me if you want, but I always had respect for Stallings and Oliver's move was a huge "frick You!" to him and Bama. Don't get me wrong, I loved the chaos it caused in the Bama Nation, but was not for it.

What about His NC Ring with The University of Alabama inscribed on it? Maybe one day a Bama coach will hire an Au player from the 2004 team and win a real NC for them. Au fans should be thankful that Bama can give their former players what Au could not- A Championship!.

I still think it's funny as hell that Willis wins the National Championship and Lance Thompson is unemployed.

I hope he comes crawling back to Tuscaloosa to beg for a job and Saban tells him to GTFO.

Good thing LSU created Saban. Gumps will be eternally grateful.

You folks are welcome.
