I think this article hits the nail on the head as far as this Kiffin issue goes. USC is already in trouble, why bring in someone who will, (shock!) start more trouble?

What makes people think Kiffin will lead to wins? He hasn't done anything at either school where he coached before

He will baby sit the program thru the probation years until they are ready to compete again at which time USC will hire a real coach.

He took a suckers job. Carroll knew what was about to go down. Thats also why Sarkisian didnt take it.

Kiffin is a fool to go to USC. There are some Raider fans out there that are REALLY looking forward to him coming back to Cali. They have a little something for him, from what I hear..
