UGA in the past week.

"We're all like rivals, but we all beat up on each other, and we hand each other so many losses sometimes," sophomore running back Mark Ingram said. "The SEC, we all don't like each other, but we take pride in each other. Like in the bowl games, teams that I hate during the season, I root for them in the bowl season because you've got to take pride in your conference. It's such a tough conference and so many great teams, playing in the SEC, you've got to take pride in it."

My analogy for this concept is it's kinda like a stupid trashy brother or cousin that you hate. You have to beat their arse sometimes, but when someone else tries to come in to mess with 'em you gotta take up for them. Even though he is a half-retarded, puke orange wearin, pre-pubescent coach havin, piece of trash.

I can root for everyone but Alabama. I am sorry. My grandfather would roll in his grave if he knew I was ever rooting for Bama. It is in my blood not to.

The only reason to root for Bama tonight is to ensure that the SEC champion will continue to be a lock in the BCSNCG.

With that being said, Hook em

the outcome of this game will have no impact on that. That will depend on each season and the TEAMS involved.

OU lost last year (and in 04), did that hurt Texas (or hurt them in 05)? LSU won in 2003, did that help Auburn?

The national perception of the SEC right now is that maybe we are over rated. This game could possibly be the swing vote. The only positive for the SEC is that if an SEC and a Big 10 or 12 team have an identical record the SEC will get the nod next year.

Explain to me then how LSU made the title game in 2003? Was it the memeories of Tennessee's 1998 win?

Truly amazing that LSU fans continue to sell their own program short, like the only reason we made the title game in 2007 was because of Florida? Its non-sense. LSU's win over VT in 2007 and the fact everyone else hd 2 loses helped. LSU's win over ND in the Sugar had more of an impact than UF winning it all, but if want to believe it go ahead.

A) So what?
B) Everyone still thinks the SEC is the best conference.

Dispite what SEC fans think, the results of last years games are not the deciding factor, its what happens next year that matters.

Look at the computer rankings, those weight only what happens in a given season, not whether a team from your conference won last year or what your conferences bowl record was.

All I am saying is that a Bama win tonight will continue to guarantee that the SEC Champion will be a lock to play for the BCSNCG. I can't help the fact that you are unable to comprehend why this is.

This all started with Auburn's shafting in 2004. Since then, no SEC team with a comparable record from a team from another conference been left out of the national title game. It really helped Florida in 2006 and LSU in 2007.

a 1-loss SEC champ would not be a lock if there were an undefeated Texas, Ohio State, Oklahoma, USC, etc

and this theory didnt work for Auburn after LSU won in 2003.
