Possibly and the sad thing is that we will never know. It is ridiculous that it is 2009 and we do not have a playoff system. It is not fair to name one team NC's when there are other teams out there that didn't have a chance to play for it.

Dunno, Utah beat the piss out of them last year. I think TCU would give them a Hell of a game, TCU is solid on both sides of the ball. I think they could beat any one from the "BCS" conferences on any given day.

Meh...TCU did not earn the right to play for it.
If a team plays in a lesser conference, it on THEM to schedule very tough OOC games. The SEC is just the opposite. Its conference is respected enough such that its members can schedule lesser OOC games.
Bama and UT have EARNED the right to play in the BCS CG. I don't really worry about the others.

lulz utah beat us by 14..they kicked the shite out of us in the 1st quarter,the rest of the game,not so much....

It would be the same type situation...Utah beat Bama...but Bama is still gonna beat them 9/10 times...They just have more talent and they are deeper with it....

I'd say TCU would have a 40% chance at beating Alabama. They have experience, depth and (believe it or not) "SEC" speed. I'd have put it at 50/50, but Bama learned it's lesson last year against Utah (yes - I know y'all weren't really trying...) and wouldn't underestimate them.
I think it's interesting to note that TCU's opponents from this season are 5-0 in their bowl games.

it's 12-28 and 5 of their bowl-worthy opponents have already played their bowl.
