In the 100 or so years the trophy has been awarded only 2 players failed to crack the top ten in any statistical catagory. Mark Ingram and Geno Torreta.
How in the hell can you award a player the "best player in America" trophy when he is not the best player on his team, not the best RB in his league and damn sure not the best offensive player much less the best overall player in the country?
MI did not crack the top ten in total yrds, rushing yrds, yrds/carry, points scored, Tds, etc....
What a JOKE! They need to stop handing out this crap. This is only slightly less disgusting as Cody a unam. 1st team AA.
I guess SI and ESPN knows the necks will stimulate thier economy buying the shite they print about them.
Hey bammers

Ingram, Toretta and Woodson. They are not Heisman worthy.
What were they thinking when these 3 were handed the heisman?

Jesus Tapdancing Christ Auburn people are obsessed. Before the award they all swore Ingram would never get it. Now that he's got it, he's the worst winner ever.
This crap is why your program gets no respect. You don't know when and how to give it, so it is not shown to you.

Ingram, Troy Smith, and Jason White immediately come to mind as the worst recent winners.

every year one of the best players in the country is awarded the heisman. Ingram was one of the best players in the country this year, so deal with it, hater.

we don't give respect? IMO we have probably the classiest, most respectful fanbase in the SEC...just because one post you call out the entire fanbase? not saying he is wrong even, I mean I don't want to take time confirming his statistics but I mean he has a point if those stats are correct
