unless you buy the high dollar seats/suites. Has anyone ever pressed this? It's not that it's not allowed in the venue, it's the regular guy that can't (not supposed to) bring it in. I've never been accosted for my mini bottles but if I was, what kind of case would I have? Hmmmm.

I've snuck pints of booze in every sec stadium and several nfl stadiums... never caught once. Only morons who act drunk and/or cocky going in the gate get caught. Have some manners, hide your shite in your crotch, tighten your belt, untuck your shirt and tie a windbreaker around your waist. Never failed.

AS I SAID, never had a problem but.. why if you paid the money and the rest of us have to sneak it? That doesn't bother you?

doesn't bother me... they are paying a hell of a lot more than my pint of makers mark.

Just a reminder....the fine for protesting to the SEC is $30,000.00

I was told that LSU gets away with due to the 3 inch gap between the bowl and the uppers. This technically makes it a building overlooking the stadium and not the actual stadium. Always wondered if that was true.

At LSU a guard took one of my friends flask away, because a couple complained about him being Rowdy.
The guard went up to him and said "I don't want to do this, but it's my job I need that". Then as he turned around the guard said " Try to be more secretive next time." He later gave it back after the game... That is one kick arse security guard.

I don't know about the other 11 schools, but at Auburn the rule is "No alcohol may be brought into Jordan-Hare Stadium on game day." Suiteholders can get access to their boxes on Fridays; so they stock the bars that afternoon.
Yes it does seem like you are shutting out Joe Sixpack, but when you are an educational institution and you have a large number of students that are under the legal drinking age, I can understand it. The schools have to protect themselves from liability by doing their best to limit the opportunity of underage drinking.

God help us if they let us crazy arse SEC football fans have alcohol in the game. The stadiums might collapse. This would be like dropping a grenade into a tank of JP-8...

They allow it at Memphis now, but the Liberty Bowl is also off campus and owned by the city.

You can have alcohol in a college stadium if it's not part of the "campus". McNeese's stadium has a unique design to the suites (not connected, technically). Check the structure, it was no accident.
The SEC may have it's own, stricter policy, not positive.

I think the Aloha Stadium sells alcohol. I think Akron and Maryland do as well.
Can't you buy alcohol at Louisiana- Lafayette now?

I say allow it though. People are going to find a way to drink anyway if they want too and maybe it would keep ticket prices down.
