This is why preseason rankings are such a load of crap in ANY sport.

Oregon St. is down 44-20 to TAMU Corpus Cristi. A lot of people had them as the 4th team in the Pac-10

Rankings are out the window when you lose to Rider...

Rider is a decent mid major and definitely a loss that will send an early wake up call to them.

On the other hand, if they continue to play like this vs other nonconference teams, I like LSUs chances.

Rider is really a fairly decent team that will give Siena fits in the MAAC.

Rider isn't pathetic, but beating a supposed number 18 team at home is still vastly overachieving.

Rider came in 3rd in the MAAC last season, behind Siena and Niagara.

Niagara is beating Auburn right now at Auburn 62-58 less than 4 minutes left.

Iona was picked 9th in the MAAC this season, but won their opener tonight against Boston University. It will probably be Siena again as the MAAC's rep in the NCAA, but Niagara and Rider can give them a run.

Next season, it's the Gaels of Iona again. Crosses fingers

Damn, they hit 10 of 16 from downtown. Did anyone watch the Arkansas game? How does one hit 13 of 17 from 3?
