to copyright "so obvious an SEC official can see it" or is the phrase used too extensively already? missed out on that caveman thingie.
after the general furor dies down to an eternal glowing ember, has the SEC taken a real blow? i mean will the tv heads mention the referees as much as the speed of the conference or the brutality of its scheduling? think of the pressure on the future good referee in the SEC--theoretical as that may be--any mistake now is highlighted as illustrating incompetence.
i don't know if that's sad or just deserved.

don't think the SEC would let you get away with using their name in your copyright, fairly certain you can't copyright a copyright. Try so easy a official from a certain conference from the southeastern portion of the country. or something around those lines.
