that make ya'll feel better???

Original post:

First the jersey pull to get an advantage on the go-ahead touchdown in our game, now the eye-gouging BS....

They have a talanted squad, no doubt, but what a crappy way to play.

And for those of you with the argument that they already had the GA game well in-hand, that the gouging didn't lead to the victory - I say even more reason not to play dirty.

I'd like t ask the ever upstanding Tebow what he thinks about his team's pitiful antics...

If there's an earlier topic on this and I 'm beating a dead horse, I apologize. But the ESPN story I listened to over lunch made me ill - Urban Myer had a serious conversation with the player...please spare me the kindergarden cop bull shite.

So are you saying that it wasn't a blatant attempt to circumvent the rules of the game?

I agree, but Meyer doesnt care, he likes that stuff. His players get arrested and get in trouble but he still lets them play. They are dirty and classless and put up this front of good people. They are nothing but classless thugs and I hope Meyer's success comes to an end once Tebow is gone

They do as much as they can for an advantage until they aren't allowed to do it anymore. Anyone who's played competitive sports has done this somehow. It's part of the game.

IT'S NOT CHEATING UNLESS YOU GET CAUGHT - UF Alma Matter

Come on LSU fans, you really can't complain about a little jersey pull. Its not like every single team in the nation doesn't do that. The jersey pull should be the least of yalls worries if you guys battle it out in the SECCG.

Are you serious? You sound like a computer nerd whos never played any sports. Guys commit pass interference all the time in football, sometimes on purpose, sometimes not. Everyone's DBs and WRs do it.

How can you even put that in the same category as guaging out someones eyes?

By this logic are you willing to admit that every time an offensive lineman holds he is blatanly attempting to circumvent the rules of the game, thereby making every football team cheaters?

No sir. I played some organized football a long time ago and not every time a holding occurs is it purposeful. Most of the time it is but not all.

The jersey tug was purposeful and therefor a blatant attempt at cheating.

Do you disagree? If you do I would like to hear it.

So what you are saying is that because other people do it that it should be accepted? That because it happens that it isn't considered an attempt to circumnavigate the rules.

And no I don't put eye gouging on the same level as pass interference numbnuts. One is breaking the rules of the game while the other is assault.

Sometimes the refs catch it, sometimes they dont. Good WRs and DBs know how to break the rules ever so slightly and not get caught. Its just part of the game. Everyone "cheats" (according to u) and gets away with it at some point.

My argument is that in all sports players try to get any advantage they can, sometimes they get caught sometimes they don't, but it by no means makes them cheaters when they try to bend the rules.

You said yourself that not every time a holding occurs is it purposeful so that must mean that sometimes it is, so should I consider you a "cheater"?

I understand that jerseys get pulled, hence the evolution of the footbal jersey from the loose fitting opened armed jerseys, to the pad slicked one we see today.

However, I find it a bit underhanded for a receiver to do it as his only means of scoring.

It'd be like screwing a relative because that's your only means for getting laid. It happens, but that don't make it right.
