We overestimate sometimes how much a teams on field success or lack of it affects these kids decisions. A lot of teams have had great recruiting classes off a bad year. There's playing time and there's ego, this kid's probably gets told how great he is 18 times a day, he probably thinks if they had me they wouldn't have lost to Kentucky, etc.
