Do you see any NFL teams making a bid for him at the end of the season? Could his offense work in the NFL? Seeing NFL teams run the wild cat go me thinking about this.

Would he pick Tebow in the draft?

If he doesn't try to put mostly Florida players on his team like Spurrier did, then he might get a job.

ETA: please hope that WRT isn't lurking at this time looking at this thread.

I don't see his offense working in the NFL, at least not for long. Then again, everyone said that about it not working in the SEC. However, I do think you have seen some versions of spread offenses in the League in the past (Run and Shoot in Houston with Warren moon, in Detroit with Rodney Peete, etc.) but they have been neutralized by the quality of the defenses at the pro level.

As for your other question, would he draft Tebow? I think that would depend entirely on the team he was with. What is their QB situation going into the draft? Where do they fall in the draft order (will TT be on the board then)? Does Meyer have control over all personnel decisions or would drafting TT have to be done only in agreement with the GM and/or owner?

Good point.
He or any coach with bal enough to try could change the NFL with a good spread option offense. Think of all the speed guys he could get. Could be interesting.

Corch Meyers will not go to the NFL and his system would not work in the NFL. Next question.

I learned my lesson last time.

I'm convinced his offense will work anywhere until proven otherwise.

When he left Utah for Florida many people said his system would not work in the SEC. They thought the defensive player in the SEC were to stong and fast. Well it looks like it has worked fine.

A bette question is Would an NFL team take a chance on Meyers? Look at past coaches who have made the move from college to the NFL (Holtz, Spurrier, Saban, that guy in Arkansas, and others) None have had success in the NFL. They all went back to the college ranks. Some on bad terms.

I think he will eventually go to the NFL. Unless he wants to stay in CFB and become a God.

Comparing the SEC's speed to the NFL's is pretty ignorant.

This. Their are is no type for a QB zone read. Vick ran QB sweeps in Atlanta but he simply took the snap and literally ran for his life. He was almost always one good hit from dying on the field.

Think of this, if Meyer and Saban stayed, that could spawn the ultimate grudge match. Rivalry sparked. Best offense vs. best defense, year after year. Pretty cool, IMHO.

FWIW, Meyer was asked yesterday if he had any interest in the NFL and he said something close to this:

None at all.

I know, I know, coach lie all the time...

I suppose you have hear the local rumors that J-ville will throw some cash at CUM and then try to draft Tebow? Jags are dying and need something to spice up the ticket sales.

His offense would work in the NFL but I don't see him going there. Meyer has constantly made comments that he has little respect for the NFL as the league seems entrenched in a specific style of offense. When asked about the NFL being slow to adopt any of the spread he nearly called the NFL coaches ballless to a reporter but corrected himself.

The rumors of drafting Tebow are real. There is talk about it.

I have heard zero about the hiring of Coach Meyer.

1- The jags can't afford to pay off Jack Del Rio
