I'm not so worried about us scoring points on most teams, but after watching our defense, I just don't think we have a good chance against five of the teams we have left on our schedule.

10/3 at Georgia - This is a loss if they can run the ball. I was thinking we had a chance when Cox was sucking (no pun intended) because our secondary has been playing pretty strong. But if he is on, that really opens up their playbook and gives them a better chance at running the ball...and our defensive line just cannot stop anyone.

10/10 Florida - This is a loss because all they do is run and again, we can't stop the run. The only way I see us having a chance is if we load up the box and Tebow is inconsistent with his passes.

10/24 Auburn - This is a loss because they have more offense than our defense can handle and I'm not sure we can score enough points to keep up. The only way we win this is if we have a clean game and minimize our turnovers.

10/31 Tulane - Win

11/7 at Alabama - This is a loss because they mix it up on offense very well and if they run the ball more than 50% of the time, we won't be able to stop them. The only way we can win this game is if Saban comes up with a truly lame game plan to throw the ball all the time, not realizing that we can't stop the run.

11/14 Louisiana Tech - Win

11/21 at Ole Miss - This is a loss if Ole Miss decides to run the ball because of the common theme of us not being able to stop the run. The only way we win this is if Snead decides to pass the ball a lot because I think our secondary can stop them from scoring more than we can.

11/28 Arkansas - Win for us if Mallett passes...loss for us if they run the Wild Hog...because of What? That's right, we can't stop the run.

Am I missing anything that we seem to have dificulty with other than the run game?

I could still see this team going 10-2

I could also see us going 6-6

I have a feeling we'll find out what kind of team we have in Athens.

So LSU struggled a little against a team who was pumped up to play them and a team LSU probably overlooked. LSU won at Washington who beat So.Cal in the same venue.

LSU will be alright, who knows if they win the West but they seem to be a lot like UGA. Both have a lot of talent and both had some ??? and flew under the radar for most of the off-season but in the end Im sure both teams will reel off 8+ wins this season and a bowl game.

LSU isn't nearly as bad at stopping the run as you make it seem. Dixon is one of the best running backs in the SEC, and he didn't even average 4 yards a carry. I think LSU will go anywhere between 8-4 and 10-2. Florida and Alabama are the two games I think we are almost guaranteed to lose, but the rest of the SEC isn't incredible like all of the posters on the Score Board seem to think.

BTW our defense is what's going to win a lot of games. It's the offense that's horrid.

When you look at Moo State's scores, it was either a busted coverage or a really short field.

I think this is one of the reasons I don't see us winning some of these games because of sloppy play. If we can clean up our game and limit turnovers...then I think we can go 10-2 or 9-3. But until then, the run is going to kill us because every team we've played so far has had success running the ball.

3 losses!
I think our tackes are playing well, but the guards and center are horrible....there are no holes and have not been all year so far...doing ok running outside, but opposing DC's know when Scott is in, inside run and williams...outside run....we need to start going against our tendancies or 6-6 is possible! In addition, we are getting out schemed...blitzes are getting in too easily!

Seriously....get rid of Miles. When a team full of 2-stars is half a yard from beating a team full of 5 stars...your coach ain't that great. Everyone has tried to tell you, but you guys wouldn't listen.

Actually...keep Miles. Ignore what I just said

it's a decent enough post 1Big"Tigerfan", but your loss predictions are all predicated on the fact that we can't stop the run.

Yea, we've had difficulty against the run up to this point. Doesn't mean things can't change and improvements can't be made. One game at a time.
