Which is ridiculous considering what he did at his time there. No one is going to replace that this year, and they will lose ATLEAST once because of it.

I think we all knew, to an extent. However we had hopes of our other WR's stepping up along with the play of Debose. So far, we don't have any real playmakers at WR and we lost Debose for the year.

Until maybe the SECCG, Harvin is merely the difference between winning by 45 and winning by 24.

I know... and what's great about that is if you guys don't develop that playmaker like really soon... I think we win in Death Valley! Tebow's not winning that game by himself.

By their #1 ranking, apparently the rest of the country doesn't realize it either.

You should say some FL fans.

Anyone should have seen that he could not be replaced fully. We are decimated at WR and there is no combination of guys at this point to replace all his production.

If we don't get healthy or if none of the young guys step up we should lose 1 or 2. No team can go all year long without their top receivers.

I would be more than willing to bet that those Gator fans that actually know someting about football would beg to differ with this statement.

I never said this. He was difference maker to say the least.

But he is gone now so we better figure something out. Some also say that Debose will be his replacement and I seriously doubt that. There will not be another Percy for quite some time.

i have stressed to a lot of football fans that Harvin was special - florida has a couple of fast athletes, but they ain't Percy. he was special. from an lsu point of view - think Michael Clayton, Glenn Dorsey, booger McFarland. Think Julio Jones at Bama. Tim Tebow. you don't get one of these guys every year in your recruiting class.

a lot of them who pooh-poohed my opinion are now coming around in agreement. Is Florida still a great team? sure - they have that defense and Tim Tebow. But they are going to struggle at offense. They better hope Tim doesn't have to run 24 times every game.

Question: what would Florida be ranked if tebow was injured?

Yes he is very important to our team. We all know it.

What would any of the SEC teams right now be ranked if their starting QB was injured?

The loss of Louis Murphy is almost as big and is totally overlooked on here. He was their leading receiver, and in conjunction with losing Harvin leaves them with what appears to be no passing game. They'll slip up and lose a game somewhere along the line if they can't find some receivers to step up IMO. I still like them as the favorite for the NC this year though.

Other than the crying game with OldMiss last year nobody played the UFers as close as BAMA. PHarvin was out for that game.

Percy along with Murphy added another dimension to the game. With both of them in, mis-matches were created and opportunities opened. Now we not only have no Percy, but no standout WR's at this point. Demps, Rainey and James can only do so much along with Tebow. Cooper cannot do it alone and Nelson has yet to step up. We need Hernandez to get healthy and someone like Frankie Hammond to step it up. Don't be surprised to see Will Hill on the offensive side of the ball at some point this year.
