judging by the responses it looks like when the gators and auburn come to death valley is when the most noise is made. october 10th should change a lot of things unless we put it on you guys which i don't see happening.

I think its cheesy for nicknames to be stolen. Suger Ray is Robinson not Leonard, Pudge is Carlton Fisk not Rodrigez.
I am sure there was a "Bear" before Coach Bryant. Just saying....
Name him if there was. Cant do it can you. And at least he earned his nickname and didnt steal it from someone else. Now sit down and shut up with that weak arse reply.

Lsu ...first game ever went to was the loudest (when the goal post came down) also DV should be even louder suppose to be adding between 5000 to 7000 more seats
the swamp was sick....the crowd is right on top of the players and the fans are so uniformed when it comes to cheering(example the Chomp all at the same time it was a cool experience

See you googled "bear" and came up with a list. That just shows how insignificant the others were because you couldnt think of them off the top of your head. When you wrestle a bear and win you earn the name. Enuff said.
As far as LSU stealing the name I guess technically they didnt because originally it was "Deaf Valley" which actually is original and appropriate for Tiger Stadium, but the sad thing is you cajuns were to dumb to get that reference and thought it was supposed to be Death Valley, which Clemson already had. It still comes off cheesy and unoriginal to me. If your cool with it dont be so insecure about it. Still plenty of people know the truth.

quote:That game, that moment right there is what Richt describes when acknowledging that TS is the loudest stadium he's been to, and that's saying a lot considering all the venues they play in. He talked about how after UGA scored that late td to tie the game, the crowd just kicked it up and got radically louder. Of course one could argue that he's never been to the swamp.
This was the loudest game I have ever been to. I cant imagine it getting louder than this moment. Or right after UGA scored on a 93 yard pass play. LSU started rockin the house, when most fans would be down. We were goin nutz.
