Meyer's Plan?

just curious to hear if any rumors have leaked about what Meyer has planned for the Vols this saturday? of course we all know he's gonna try to stomp us in the ground and run the score up, but wondering if anything else was planned.

I think he has too much respect for Monte to do anything disrespectful or classless. He has said that he has a good relationship with Monte and had met with him for years, and as recently as 2007. Don't get me wrong, I think he will try buttream UT, and while he won't give y'all a reach-around, he at least isn't going to do something similar to the timeouts against UGA.

Also at UF. He had Monte come in after our 07 season.

You know, I do like him because he's brought energy and there is actually something to look forward to in the future with this program. But c/mon, the guy can't crack a joke in a press conference? It wasn't "talking shite", it was just having fun. He even said "just kidding, Urban" after he made the remark, but the media seems to leave that out. It's blown way out of proportion...

I know everyone in the sec and probably the nation hates Kiffin. but I havent heard but a few UT fans that don't like him. he's done alot of good things so far for us! His recruiting has been unbelievable and is getting rid of the UThug reputation. The smack talk over the off-season has rubbed a few fans the wrong way, but we do like the confidence and "swagger" as some call it. I think he's turning the program around! it will take a year or two and a new QB, but I think we're headed in the right direction.

He told a joke at the expense of Irvin Meyers. That is still showing disrespect.

Was just wondering, I know the general concensus around the SEC and even the nation is a vague dislike but was just wondering what you guys thought of him so far.

i think it was 50/50. 50% firing up boosters and fans, and 50% calling out Urban and the best team in the nation. either way it added some spark to a rivalry that was losing it's intensity.

I think that Tampa 2 is gonna take a little while to implement right. He probably needs some of his own recruits to get exactly what he wants out of it. But I have enormous respect for MONTE Kiffen.
That being said...neither will have much bearing on the final score this weekend. You can only shade Berry to one side.
