Is anybody even accounting for slightest slip up? Is the general consensus that they are going undefeated? I think the LSU game is a big time hurdle for them personally.

Especially at night in TS.

We will also find a way to "play down" to the level of one of our inferior opponents and make a ball game out of it, somewhere along the way.

I'm worried about UGA the most. Experienced OL which can make their inexperienced qb look good + a solid defense and they have a bye week before our game.

Lane will score 50 on UF.

i agree. you combine that with the fact that Meyer is changing his offense and it's not a good mix. I think Ga beats florida and Fl will lose at least 1 more in conference. GA to SECCG to lose to OLMIS

That's going to be kind of hard since OM will lose to USCe, Aub and LSU and won't come close to sniffing the SECCG.

UF will go undefeated in 2009. Book it. In fact, this current UF team is the best team the SEC has produced this decade. A 40ppg offense led by a legendary, senior Heisman trophy winner and the best defense in the country returning all of its starters and backups from the previous year.

By the end of the season people will be putting this UF team in discussions with the greatest college football teams of all time.

They certainly(by far) have the best chance to do so..the toughest game will be at LSU...hopefully we can stop Tebow...i'm pretty confident in our offense though UF's D is tough as well

should be a great game(and season)

Who the hell said we are changing our offense????? Tebow will play some under center thereby adding a few more plays to the play book, but we are not changing our ENTIRE offense. Where did you get this from, Urban himself?

Answering the actual post prior to the above quote. We have never gone undefeated so I am not sold that we will do it this season. So much has to go your way in order for this to happen. I just hope we can put ourselves in position to play in the SECC.

He has told certain recruits that he is changing the offense to a more pro-style O.

Unless you were one of those recruits or you have a link then just stop it.

He says he going more under center because that is how Brantley will shine.

The crap that gets spewed here is over the top sometimes.

Going undefeated in the SEC is darn near impossible. We may lose one or two. Who knows what is going to happen with injuries, bad bounces, terrible refs, tons of miscues, etc...

I hope we get to the SECCG and have a chance to rep the SEC in the MNC again but it is far from a lock.

I think we'll lose a game. I hate to break it to the other Florida fans here, but I expect our offense to take a noticeable step back in 2009. You won't see it in most games, but against the better defenses, I think we'll score around 30 as opposed to 40+ (think LSU and Georgia). I honestly think that there are some teams out there capable of beating us.

We've never gone undefeated and it ALWAYS takes a good bit of luck to go undefeated. I find that luck is usually harder to come by for the team with the target on its back. Teams just play at a different level when they have a chance to beat No. 1.

That said, I don't see anyone else from the East having only one conference loss. I think we return to the SEC Championship Game and possibly the National Championship. I just don't think we do it undefeated.

I will admit that if there is ever a year for our program to do it, it has to be this year. Never have I felt better about a team heading into the season than this one.
