I just called the home/away record based on relative difficulty rather than individual games.
Bama and Ole Miss have the best schedules to win the West. IMO the SEC West champ will most likely be decided on October 10th in Oxford.
Two things need to happen to put LSU in a tie-break situation w/ Bama/Ole Miss that could maybe land them in Atlanta:
1. Nutt slipping against someone he's suppose to beat (take your pick on their schedule). He's famous for it.
2. Malzahn having something going with Auburn by the end of the year and snaking one from Bama.
Both Long Shots
Also: Arkansas' road schedule and Miss St' home schedule are the same: Brutal!

Why are you dancing, our 1 win comes in Oxford.

I know you said you didn't base your decision on the home/away records on individual games, but you should at least take a closer look.
It looks like you have OM losing to USC, Vandy, AU, or MSU. Now, anything is possible, but I wouldn't think anyone would predict OM to lose any away games this year.

That's a good point. I suppose them going 2-2 at home is more likely than 3-1 on the road.
Or you could look at it as Nutt's one unpredictable loss (one of the road games) already factored in.

I was about to post likewise... you could go either way, IMO. Going 4-0 on the road in the SEC isn't as easy as it sounds... even though we did it in 03 ( )

I will disagree with you and say we go 4-0 at home.
I agree on our road record, though.

Ole Miss will be strong agaist the run, but still has a suspect secondary, and a decent QB might be able to put points up. In road games, only SC and Vandy have decent throwing QB's.
OM travels to SC for a Thursday night game on only four days rest. So that road game is the one OM fans are most worried about.

LSU wins the west. I'm fairly certain of it.

I dont understand the respect Alabama is receiving. What part of Quarterback with no experience dont yall understand(see LSU 2008)
I would be more concerned with Ole Piss or Arkansas.

What part of "We don't throw the fricking ball" don't you understand. It's not like he's got to be a fricking Heisman trophy winner for us to be successful. JPW's numbers weren't that great last year. I'll bet money that unless McElroy gets hurt, he'll have better numbers than JPW. And guess what? It won't be that damn hard.

Will your Oline be a major strength this year? i really dont know

quote:That is the correct question. I think the right side is still good. Carpenter won't be Andre, but he'll be a good solid SEC o-lineman. If no injuries, we'll be good, definitely not as dominant on the left but still a good solid SEC line.

i think it is going to come down to like a 3-way tie for the Western Division. People just gotta hope they dont get beat by a crappy team.
