Could someone explain?

Could someone please explain to me Florida State's fixation with Canada? I saw a clip on the local news where they showed Arky beat Florida State. They showed a hit by an FSU player and the fans in the stands were all waving Canadian flags. What's the reason behind this? Thanks

Something they did long ago and ended up winning the game.

In 1988 during the Calgary olympic games, the opening ceremony to the games was happening while FSU baseball was playing a game. In the bottom of the 5th inning the Seminoles were down a few runs and someone started humming "Oh Canada." FSU came back and won that game. Ever since that game, the Section B Animals sing it whenever FSU bats in the 5th inning.

Don't know or care but................ when you pull that shite on national TV on D-Day aniversary (6-6) is just bullshite. Why not wave an American Flag?
No different to me than the hispanics in SoCal waving the Mexican Flag. If you want to be part of THIS country. Wave OUR flag.
