Might be a little early to start this, but I figured alot of you guys would enjoy hearing what some knowledgeable draft guys had to say on the two.
quote:

“(Stafford) is thicker. He can handle a pounding,” said a college scouting director. “He has not been playing against inferior competition in the Pac-10 (as Sanchez did). He’s going up against the same caliber of athletes he will see in the NFL.

Yet for some reason this inferior conference holds a winning record this decade vs. the toughest conference in the land.

We'll see how they pan out in a few years. My money is on Sanchez.

well why don't your good teams play our good teams? Beating arkansas every year isn't exactly a great accomplishment, i know we currently have a little losing streak against them, but why don't you play teams like alabama, LSU, florida or georgia? I think your record would start to look a little different.

their best team would be about like us in the SEC

I pray they play a healthy top SEC team in a bowl game someday

UGA, UF, hell even Ole Miss now

You should email Rams vice president of player personnel Tony Softli and educate him so he doesn't keep making ignorant statements. Put him in his place, show him who the real expert is.

This is the only reason I want to see UT get better. They're the only one who consistently plays decent Pac-10 teams.

Go back and check. At least since 02, I believe since the beginning of the century. It is common knowledge even amongst die hards here.

usc has the winning record. i don't think the rest of your conference does.

either way, usc would be a top tier program in the SEC.

lets quit this stupid argument.

eta: well usc has 4 of the 9 pac-10 wins. if you take away usc's 4 wins and LSU's 4 wins the pac-10 leads 5 - 2.

its never each conference's top teams playing each other. always seems to be one top team against a bottom team.

still lets get over this stupid argument.

"Here" being the key word. In the PAC-10's little world they have out there where they think they are actually superior to everyone else. USC is like Texas; afraid to face an SEC power...Instead y'all have to beat up on lowly Big Ten teams in the Rose Bowl every year.

Google knows all

Pac 10 vs SEC all time

quote:

The SEC leads the Pac-10 59-37-5 (.609). However, over the past 10 years (1998 - 2007), the Pac-10 actually leads the SEC 9-6 (.600).

SEC has more appearances and a better record in BCS bowls than the Pac 10

Pac-10 9-4
SEC 12-5

These conference records are pretty silly all around, though. Arguing that the Pac 10 is better talent wise or in conference depth really is silly Tangy. I'm sure it's an attempt at a flame.
