You're right, but he's human like the rest of us, prone to losing his cool with goobers who won't shut their ignorant mouth for five seconds to listen. Catch anybody on a bad day and they can explode. Tim is IMO one of those people you don't expect it from, being a pretty together kind of guy, but people like that hick have a way of bringing the worst out in all of us I suppose.

Gary: Hey Tim how are ya?

Tim: Hi Gary how are you?

Gary: I'm OK. I'm an Auburn grad and I'm not trying to be disrespectful to you but how much football have you coached?

That's what started it.


Tim told the guy he doesn't have a question but an agenda. Gary won't shut up and claims Tim is running his university down. Brando gets upset at him saying that he is running his university down and tries to defend himself but Gary keeps running his mouth. So then Tim loses his cool and tells the guy "NO, You shut the hell up."

Tim then begins to tell him that the decision makers at his university have become a national punch line, and that doesn't mean that I (Gary interupts again) and so Tim kind of lays a challenge out there, but by that time it had already gotten really stupid.

Brando was a guest on Finebaum and taking calls. An Auburn fan called to compain about him "running down the university". He started by asking Brando "how much football have you coached?", which sent the call in the wrong direction from the get-go. It escalated to Brando angrily saying "hang on just a minute pal" and screaming "no you shut the hell up" and "no, no, no you listen to me." He finished by saying "you want to play something besides football, you come see me big fella." Those are the highlights.

You forgot to add that the caller sounded like a retarded yokel and the picture representing him was probably accurate. Funny that he's a graduate of Auburn
