All season long there has been an overwhelming sense of vitriol towards Alabama by many of you, but there has been a disturbing level of discussion about Hate today, and "Hating" Alabama. I have always loved how SEC fans of all schools stick together come bowl time and root for each other. Clearly that is not the case for many of you LSU fans here, and I think the level of true "hate" you are expressing is borderline psychotic. I think I know the truth, but my question is do you hate Alabama the school and it's alumni, Alabama fans, or Alabama's coach? And what are your reasons? Or do you even distinguish these differences? Please spare us the all of the above response and reply with a thoughtful answer or not at all.

I guarantee you most are going to stop right there because they don't know what "vitriol" means.

Uh, I sure as hell didn't want Utah to win that game.

SEC pride just isn't that important to some people.

TideSaint just showed you why. As I do not hate Alabama fans, it is annoying how many perceive themselves as better than everyone else. They're smarter, classier, and their football team will dominate the SEC for the next ten years. This is the kind of talk that drives people to hate BAMA.

I dislike some Bama fans for the same reason but if your gonna boast about your team like that for them to end up losing to Utah, you need to shut your mouth. I was rooting for Bama and against Bama's fans, I will always have a strong sense of SEC pride

I think I speak for many when I say we want the SEC to win all bowls. However, the fact that the bandwagon was over full and gumps were coming out of the woodwork it was easier to take the SEC loss.

We hate you for taking so much shite, even as you were getting spanked, and then setting us back HUGE. For that you deserve what you get.

I don't think anyone truly hates Alabama. Some of us see it in LSU's best interest for Bama and Saban to be knocked down a peg in the eyes of recruits and are simply enjoying the moment.

Some are just having spirited fun at your expense but with no hatred intended.

Its college football and you're one of our main rivals. Would you have hazed us any less if we had loss to Troy?

You'll weather the storm, just don't see it as any more than rivals poking each other a bit.

personally, i never had any problem with alabama or their fans until they hired saban. after the hire they flooded this message board with their arrogance and continued to try to downplay miles and his success at LSU to build saban up in their own minds. there's no need to tear down one coach in order to build up another. that combined with the massive delusion present in the gump fan base has led me to have a strong dislike for them. i wouldn't use the word hate though

Gump posts like this for most of this season has brought the "LSU Love" to Bama.

And Tulane Tiger Fan makes some excellent points in his post. Personally, I could care less about Bama but your fans posting here are retards for the most part.

Vitriol is too verbose for this century IMO.

If you're in a dictionary kind of mood, TideSaint, look up "hubris." That definition is why most non-Bammers I know hate Bammer.

The word is a little too "pretentious" for this board if you ask me. Almost like somebody trying to impress everyone with the new word they learned. Yeah, I do know what it means. You hear it alot around election times which is when its used the most.

I support the SEC in all bowl games. But to me it seems as in all conferences theres those teams others just love to hate on. Im originally from a Big 10 conference state and there were teams we IU fans loved to hate on as well. (i.e Purdue)

The fans.

Not all of them, but most are delusional. If they are losing, they bring up championships won before they were born and talk about how Bama will rule the college football world again in the near future. Totally ingoring the state of the current team.

Then when things are going good, they totally forget any of their recent problems. Beating Aurburn this year is the perfect emaple. Its like those 6 straight loses before didn't even happen. Like they totally forgot about them with one win.
