The guys on JOX are saying that Tuberville is meeting with the AD for a second day in a row. Do you Aubies on this board think that something is up? I figured Tubs coming back was a done deal.

I really doubt he gets fired this season. It would be a very bad decision, IMO.

It's just taking a while to decide who the next oc is going to be.

They are listening to his plan and will probably reject it. There are some high powered people that want him gone.

I'm sure he's scrambling to find an OC as we speak (er..type).

Horrible decision if Auburn lets him go, unless they get a Saban-type of hire.

The sticking point is going to be getting rid of all or some of his assistants. Tubs is loyal to a fault and I don't know that he will just clean house.

Apparently, Coach Croom was as well.

Heard that was the problem there as well.

Tubbs is as good as Saban; Auburn just had a down year. Powerful people can want him gone all they want but they would absolutely ruin the Auburn program.

Lots of simularities to UA vs. Bill Curry. I always thought Curry was a pretty good coach. When Bama ran him off, we started a self-imposed wander through the wilderness.

If they do get rid of Tuberville, if he doesn't want to coach, surely ESPN, ABC or CBS would want him. He would certainly be "interesting" on TV.

I've posted before that I think it will take Auburn years to recover if they lose TT. I can't think of a worse idea.

One poster mentioned them getting a "saban-type hire". How many of his caliber are A. Looking for a move, or B. willing to go to Auburn and recruit against the "titans of recruiting" around them?

But only 1 of them actually matters. And he's not been a Tubby fan for quite a while.

If you're going to let one guy (Lowder) control the program, might as well pack it in.

I'd love to see Auburn go get Mike Leach.

It would make for some great Iron Bowls for the next few years.

Tuberville didnot forget how to coach football. Just needs a decent OC. Same with Fulmer at TN.
