There has not been much factual information released about this incident that I have seen, but it is not uncommon these days for "Race" to be inserted into the picture anytime there is an incident between blacks and whites, so you never really know.
Denitinely no race angle here
Definite race angle here
People see what they want to see.

No Black person with an ounce of self respect would ever play for Bammer IMHO.

It's a great thing that poor black football players in the South have a White Knight like you to defend them against evil frat boys. Jesus effin' Christ. White and black cultures are still different in some places, there's still friction between them, sometimes people get fed up and call each other names, and sometimes stupid college kids cross a line they shouldn't cross.
This is not news. No side is good or evil here. They're just different. Live with it.

Well, everyone knows that Sylvester Croom suffered from an inferiority complex as a teenager, and generally lacks self-respect.

If you knew what you were talking about, you'd know there are many Black Bama fans that make The Cowboy look like a feckless fence-sitter.
Maybe one day you can get past the the race angle, because it's a problem you're making for yourself. What you're doing is like drinking a can of Drano and hoping someone else dies from it. Stop the hating dude.

Croom learned his lesson the hard way. When he tried to get off the fields and take a seat in the big plantation house, Bear Jr and crew slapped him down so fast his head spun. I bet he now hates Bammer more than any Auburn, Tennessee, and LSU fan could. You can see it when his team plays them.

I wonder if TenTex lectures the black community on the high rate of black on white crimes.

this is all bullshite. Just more south and frat bashing. The black fraternities are black. The other ones are not allowed to say they are white, but i guarantee a white person pledging a black fraternity or sorority will not be welcomed with open arms.

Racism is everywhere. It will always be around.
Not to the extent of the Deep South. I've lived in many many places and it doesn't even come close to what exists in the South.
And I wouldn't leave Louisiana off that list.

Coming from someone who has lived in rural Alabama and in a Louisianan city, I can say that the rural parts of the South are LESS racist than metropolitan areas. I think it has to do with the fact that there are more Blacks in cities.

This is my first post ever, Ten Tex's typical LSU-fan-motivated-to-suggest-something-uniquely-negative about Alabama in this flame/post forced my hand.
NOLATide, go back and read my original post to start this thread. I'm asking questions not stating facts. How can a question be a flame. I'm also against and will always fight against any form of racism or hate toward another human just because they are different. Sounds like you are doing the flaming. Just contribute and stick to the facts if that is possible.

The thread is about Rolando McClain who plays for Bama being called the "N" word by a frat and 2 frats tried to beat the crap out of him. McClain could get suspended from the team which could hurt Bama from winning the rest of their games. How does this not belong in the SEC Rant?

Have you ever demonstrated against black on white crime which is much more of an issue that white on black crime? Do you lectures blacks when they frick with white folk and take part in behavior that is intentionally done to irritate and offend white people? Or is that not an issue as far as you are concerned?

This is what you started the thread about.. racism.
"Racism, Racial Slurs against Black Football players at Bama (Posted on 11/15 at 9:58 a.m.)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is this a big problem from the student body at Bama?
Do African American Players at Bama run into this a lot from the Frat system? From looking at the pictures of the fraternity where the 2 frat boys called Rolando McClain the "N" word it looks like it may be a big problem. Incident Article Frat House Website There is still a lot of racism in the Deep South(Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina) and I wonder how often it raises its head on Campus at Alabama. Anyone know? I cannot believe this stuff still happens"
This belongs on the political board, not in the sports part if you want the direction of talk to go into racism and political talk.

I have many times. As a manager and now long time business owner I have to settle disputes from time to time. That is why I stated I fight against any form of prejudice. It can come from anyone in just about any type of form or action. There are many reasons for it. Most of all it comes when someone who cannot take responsibility for their own life or actions and will blame other people for their own failures. This is many times called "Hate".

Here's something to think about:
This year, Tri-Delta at LSU accepted two black girls at rush (who have since been initiated). The "rumor on campus" is that many fraternities will no longer take part in socials and activities put on, or involving, Delta Delta Delta.
Most people will know what Fraternities we're talking about.
This raised my eyebrows.
So, I checked. Yes they did...and they haven't had trouble scheduling parties or had any noticible negative reprocussions. Apparently guys are more excited about attempting to have sex with them than taking a bigoted stance...believe it or not.
I have heard this rumor though with fraternities worried that no one would talk to them if they let a black guy in. Glad to see its not true.
