Must've been .380 to only cause minor injuries

Lucky they were shooting .40 and not 9mm.

Solidifies 9mm > .40

My friend stopped shooting at precision due to their design and ricochet.

He said the angle of the trap was set up poorly where a certain depth target would send spray back everytime

He is a pretty damm good engineer and drew it out for me. This doesnt surprise me and he quit shooting there due to it.

Honestly the new design of FRC off Choctaw blows precision away. They contracted action target to come do their range and it is top notch.

Just wish it was as close to my house as precision.

I had one ricochet back at me about 15 years ago at Precision.
.45 acp.
It hit the ledge right under my boot. I think I still have the round somewhere.

Had that happen to a friend of mine here in Birmingham. We were shooting falling steel plates and they were set up on sawhorses with a 2x4 between them. There was a piece of steel across the 2x4 and I guess it hit that instead of the plates and ricocheted back. Didn't hit any of us but stuck into a 4x4 post holding up a metal roof.

Can't this happen if you don't clean the trap often enough?

Seems like the few times I shot at Precision the workers were douche bags. Not the most intelligent people.

Last time I went, one of the guys was fricking with me and my buddy. Typical guy talk/ribbing each other type stuff, which I didn't mind. But I can definitely see how some people wouldn't appreciate it and would see it as unprofessional.

I'd like to talk to your friend about this.

I can explain it to you...the target at it's furthest depth is deeper than the start of the angles on the trap. If you hit the target holder which is angled down, the ricochet goes down to the trap angle on the floor and back out towards the shooter.

That's really scary. Tyner-Petrus's range in West Monroe is the only indoor range I've ever used. I've always wondered if that ever happens there. Have never noticed rounds ricocheting, but have never heard any noise other then my Shield firing.
