With this blowing up in the national media, and the fact there could be gay rights groups in the Grove next weekend. Will Freeze make an example of his players who were yelling slurs at the gay actor in the play.

I have heard that both Tony Conner, and Treadwell were involved.

I honestly respect Freeze, and look for him to use this as a learning experience for the players involved.

I'd hate for them to get suspended over nothing.

There are conflicting reports about this.

1. There are conflicting reports from people there as to wether or not slurs were said.

2. Who is to say that the football players out of everyone involved were the ones yelling them if so?

3. If it was the players do you suspend all 20 of them for what maybe a few may have said? Bc unless someone comes out and says they did it there is no way of knowing who said what.

Is there any evidence that Treadwell and Conner were taking apart of yelling slurs, if it even happened. Without any evidence that shows them doing it, no one is getting in suspended

So you guys honestly think that the people in the play are just making this up out of the blue?

I know you don't want to believe it but all signs point to it being true. Its actually now on the front page of SI.com and Sporting News.com

All signs do not point to it being true.

Yes I believe that drama kids would create drama for the sake of drama.

Well I've seen people in the play say that there wasnt anything like that being said. The only person who said those things were being said was the director

All they are doing is taking the DM story and running with it. Not like they've got people down here interviewing people who were there. All signs do not point to it being true. Only one does

No gay slurs were used by the players. The shitty reporting by the DM quoted a guy saying that the players used gay slurs and he wasn't even there.

And no. He isn't going to suspend them. He'll run them and their punishment groups a few times at 5 in the morning next week until they puke.

I'm not saying it did not happen, I'm saying there are two conflicting reports whether the slurs were said or not.

Well considering that everyone that is reporting this is quoting the DM. And Rory Ledbetter, the director of the play that told the DM that players used gay slurs, wasn't even at the play.

So yeah. Once again, this is the DM blowing shite out of proportion.

And there was a gay actor in the play that even said that the players didn't use gay slurs. He said that some of the audience laughed when the words were used by the actors but that nobody from the audience actually said the word "fig" or "queer"

I really wish people would get the FACTS before making assumptions. There are a lot of accusations being posted/made. Lots of people on FB blaming the University for not making a statement or taking any action. Maybe the University is trying to get the facts or investigate the incident before commenting?

I know the situations are very different, but when the Media gets ahead of a situation like this, you get something like the Duke rape case where they were guilty long before actually being found innocent and it ruined a lot of young lives.

Boom.

Far too often it's "guilty until proven innocent" in this country.

And that does not surprise me at all. 18 and 19 year old kids aren't exactly mature.

If this is the case he should at least name those involved to make an example of them.

Why? So the media and opposing fans can metaphorically lynch them for being such horrible people? When nothing is proven? Heck no
