We all know that Freeze is not the next Saban. He's a good coach, but not a great coach. We haven't had too many "good" coaches in Oxford over the past 45 years, so I suggest we stand behind Freeze 100%. He is one of us. I think he could get us to Atlanta one day. It might not be this year or next, but the guy has brought more excitement to our program than there's ever been in my lifetime. We know that we're never going to be a Tier 1 team year in a year out, but I expect us to contend for the West title every 4 years or so. It is what it is.

I don't understand. Is there a large throng calling for his head or something all of a sudden? People say stupid stuff right after an embarrassing loss, but I would have to believe the overwhelming majority of UM fans have sense enough to know Freeze is the man.

P.S. - An offensive coordinator might be nice, and the offensive line has got to be much, much better moving forward. Have a good day.

I don't support his play calling.

Basketball on grass my arse. Maybe a really shitty basketball team that misses a lot of layups.

IDK I'M DONE WITH OM FOOTBALL FML

Who the frick isn't still supporting Freeze? And if any aren't then they need to be slapped in the face.

We are currently 4-1 and gonna still be ranked in the Top15 and we lost to an undefeated UF team in The Swamp at night. And we still control our own destiny in the West.

Jesus people need to chill the frick out.

Nobody is calling for Freeze to be fired. We all support him but he needs to learn how to make adjustments in the game.

This. 100%.
Any true OM fan is and always will be behind Freeze. We have more talent and depth than we've ever had on our roster. We all knew(or should've known for those who didn't) that the silliness and gimmick junk wouldn't work against a legit team, and last night it showed all the way around. We need a OC that is proven to be SEC worthy, or a better game plan to get us through the cracks.
Both sides of the ball looked like they could care less last night. If that embarrassing loss doesn't light a fire under our arse, nothing will.

Anyone who doesn't want to keep him is retarded. He has done wonders for ole miss football. Plus I think y'all found a quality long term coach in him since he is from North MS. It was a speed bump in yalls season.

Freeze has already cemented himself in OM history as a top-3 coach, to me at least. What he has done recruiting and winning on the field is pretty special. We would be freaking idiots to get rid of him. Nothing wrong with getting a new OC though...

I don't not support Coach Freeze. Look at where we've been and where we are now.

I do not support some of his extremely questionable play calling, his not wanting to (or being able to) change schemes at any point in the game and inability to have an effective O line after 4 years (make all the excuses and lay the blame where you want-it's true).

Call me a bad fan-but I was eating at Parlor Market last night and in order to preserve what was left of my appetite, I asked the waiter to change the channel with 5 minutes left in the game.

CONS
He ain't a good play caller.
He needs a OC.
He needs a OL coach.

PROS
He is one hell of a recruiter.
He is the spark that got OM going in the right direction again.
He gives the best pre battle speeches in the game.

Conclusion
If you don't think he's a good HC, you're a idiot.

Agree, if he tucks tail and comes to that conclusion after one(1) brutal loss, I would've hate to been around him the decade of pre-Freeze.
I've seen some bad games, bad years, and plenty of wtf moments as a rebel, but I've never turned a game off. If you are all smiles through the good times, you got to sit there and take your arse whipping like a man. Trust in freeze, he has taken this programs to heights no one thought was possible. If you don't like him as a coach, don't praise him when we are doing great. That's chickenshit. Although we haven't held onto it , he has had us in every conversation of it ever since the 4 team playoff was created. What other coach would've done that for us? I'll wait for your holy answer sir.

I don't see why anyone wouldn't support Freeze.

The bottom line is that Ole Miss will never be a top-tier team. Ever. Ole Miss will not likely win an SEC championship in our lifetimes, nor will it ever win a national championship. To even propose we could win a national championship is delusional at best, mentally unfit at worst.

All we can hope for is a coach to keep us toward the top of the mid-tier. Freeze can do that.

We have not been relevant nationally for over five decades. Over-inflated rankings are not synonymous with relevance. Relevance means titles, and we have none since the years of JFK.

The landscape of college football has changed, and if Ole Miss ever wanted to be relevant again -- it would likely have to leave the SEC and go the Florida State/Boise State route. Big fish in a little pond scenario. It would have to run the table, but at least it would get a shot. Teams like Boise State and TCU have accomplished more than Ole Miss has in fifty years. I mean, TCU went undefeated and won a freaking Rose Bowl. Ole Miss won't even sniff that. Not even close.

So, effectively -- the reality is that Ole Miss gets paid to lose, so that premiere teams like Alabama can stand on the lesser teams' shoulders and go on to glory. That's what we've done for generations now. Get paid to lose. But since we like those paychecks, we follow the status quo.

And that is the sad truth and dark reality of college football. Marquee programs will always thrive, while the lesser programs exist to support their effort. We are not a marquee program and we will never be a marquee program.

Therefore, the best as I see it is for us to shoot for 8-9 wins a season. To me, that's pretty much the standard and ceiling Ole Miss has to look forward to.

I believe Freeze can give us that. And the people who claim otherwise and have delusions of grandeur, likely haven't been an Ole Miss fan for every long. When you've been a fan for decades, you begin to understand and realize the situation for what it is.

Can you not read? Do you have WithaRebelYell's shite in your eye? Pull your head out of his arse, and visa versa, and read my post.

Changing the channel to avoid watching the end of an embarrassing loss is a far cry from tucking tail and running, dip shite. I've been around for several decades pre-Freeze. I've sat through many an embarrassing loss in VHS all the way through to the end-even when the loss was fully expected.

Like I said-look where we've been and where we are. We are much better than we have been in a long time. I'm sorry I have to spell that out for you and that your reading comprehension sucks, and that you have zero, absolutely zero, analytical skills when it comes to, (1) reading a post, and (2) analyzing what a head coach is and isn't doing correctly.

But hey, man, post some more interesting shite and keep down voting, man. That makes you internet cool, man.
